Lifedrain Mark

Minor Necromancy Curse (Object)

Description. A Lifedrain Mark is a curse deliberately put onto a weapon during its creation. While it often enhances the weapon’s power, it does so by draining the life force of the one who wields it. Items bearing this mark are sometimes sentient or possessed, driven by a thirst for blood.
Effects. A creature holding a weapon Cursed in this way has disadvantage on all Constitution saving throws. When they hit with a weapon attack, they deal an additional weapon damage die of Necrotic damage to the target. The attacker then takes Necrotic damage equal to their Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).   Breaking. The curse on the item cannot be broken or removed by anything short of a Wish spell. However, casting Remove Curse does end the attunement to the weapon, if any.
