Hexfix
The Hexfix is a type of fey known for its peculiar obsession with undoing curses. Unlike many other fey who weave enchantments and curses, the Hexfix spends its long life unmaking them. Known for its gentle demeanor and touch, it specializes in undoing curses, drawing them out of people, places, and objects like splinters from skin.
Friendly Fixers. Hexfixes are welcomed, sometimes cautiously, by druids and witches who understand the delicate art of unraveling evil magic. However, hags and darker fey view Hexfixes as meddling pests, spoiling their schemes and fun. Hexfixes wander through the world gently coaxing curses and evil enchantments loose and sealing them away with quiet satisfaction. They do not expect payment or charge gold for their services, but are very fond of baked goods and gossip. To a Hexfix lifting a curse is an act of respect, like smoothing out a wrinkled page in an old book, or straightening a crooked picture frame in someone else’s home.
Curse Collector. Hexfixes wear belts and straps strung with tiny glass jars, each containing a softly glowing moth, butterfly, or winged insect. These are the magical manifestations of curses they have drawn out and preserved. They are not trophies or dangers to be destroyed. They are memories, mysteries, and magic gone wrong, now safely bottled and cherished as a collection by their owner.
