Hybrid Weaponry

Hybrid Weaponry was the term for projectile weapons that were coated with plasma. This form of weaponry was heavily utilized by the Empire up until the beginning of the Alliance War. This form of weaponry was prefered over oure plasma weapons, as most plasma weapons of the time were unable to do serious damage to armored opponents.

Access & Availability

Hybrid Weaponry was used on both sides during the First Civil War. Bullets were often high explosive bullets. Hybrid weaponry was common until it was almost completely phased out by the equally powerful but much cheaper plasma weapons.

Complexity

Hybrid weapons operate on the same principle as standard projectile weapons. The only difference is that upon exiting the barell, the bullet is coated with plasma, giving the bullet greater penetrating power.
