The Elves of Yggdrasil

The Elves of Yggdrasil are immigrants to this land, having traveled here shortly after the Cleansing. During the war of the Cleansing, their homeland to the east was destroyed by an Eldur, leaving behind a desert wasteland that the elves found inhospitable. They rule the forests to the south of Bag'Aceb's armies, serving as the bulwark between his undead forces and the civilized lands of the south.

Culture and cultural heritage

Growing up in their verdant homes, these elves prioritise melding their culture with nature. They seek to create beauty in all things. They also hold high value in the circle of life, seeing each part of the cycle as important. They represent the circle of life through their art, creating different styles of works throughout each season.
As a society, they consider themselves to be in a period of Rebirth presently, having lost their ancesteral homeland in the East during the Cleansing.

Common Etiquette rules

Elves maintain a formal etiquette, with bows being their form of greeting. A simple nod is the greeting between equals, whereas a full bow is a greeting to a superior. Elves will sometimes use these greetings as subtle slights against rivals, or as compliments to those they hold in high regard.

Art & Architecture

The elves of Yggdrasil's colonies look more like forests than cities; Their buildings are often carved into living trees through druidic magic. Their cities are often in the style of art nouveau, emulating the random beauty of the flora of the land. Those they cannot carve into living trees are constructed of fallen trees; In such cases, they always add accents to breath new life into them.
