Heirarchy-
Innerith, being a city of stacked rings, is a heirarchical society. The higher the ring of your residence, the more important you are considered. People of lower rings are expected to show defference to those of higher rings. People wear rings with the sigal of their ring of residence, although most members of the Ring of Masses forgo this expenditure. Members of the highest rings are said to be able to trace their lineage back to members of the Lost Order, although most have little claim to glory in these.Common Dress code
Citizens of the city are very fond of Vicotorian styles.

Courtship Ideals
The beginning of courtship in Innerith is a rather mundane affair; A prospective partner asks the other to join them at a social event. It is common to choose a setting that is not too quiet, nor too loud. Each party is usually expected to invite a couple of trusted friends to join them. These friends, often jokingly called the "Council of Ravens," will have a subsequent meeting to give their insight on the compatibility of the partnership. It is considered a social fuax pas to go against the judgment of a Council of Ravens, however on the flip side if the relationship works out against the judgement of the Council of Ravens those friends are typically ousted.
If a relationship continues after this date, then partners will continue the courtship until such a time that they are prepared to commit to one another. At this time, the Council of Ravens will be reconviened to witness their proposal. A proposal is expected to include a prelude to their marriage vows, with promises of what they will provide in their union. In more "well-to-do" partnerships, there will sometimes be a bit of negotiation during the proposal. If the terms are found acceptable to the partners and the Council of Ravens, then the partners will be considered engaged, and a small party will be hosted for the partners by the Council of Ravens. The Ravens are presented with a jewel with a Raven emboldened on it (called a Ravencrest), which is typically worn on a chain. People with several Ravencrests are considered wise and respected members of the community.

Relationship Ideals
Within a relationship, the partner with the superior social standing is typically considered the head of the household. This standard can sometimes cause friendly (or less friendly) rivalry within relationships of higher standing. Partners of similar standing will often have equal sway, or elect a head of household between each other. It is common to keep the Council of Ravens involved in the relationship, making them aunts or uncles of any offspring.
