The Wastes of Celadon
The wastes of Celadon are a lawless land that were never truly conquered by anyone. Both before and after the mind flayer's invasion, the Celadon's wastes were wildlands inhabited by brutal dragonborn, orcs, and other monstrous hordes. With a lack of natural resources and desirable land, the mind flayers have had little interest in taming its lands.
Lying to the Northwestern side of Thauzuassk, the large Taklamakan lake divides the prosperous central lands from the Celadon's wastes.
History
Although it's not confirmed, rumors say that some surviving members of the Meropian forces from the Meropian War retreated into the wastes in order to escape the Supremacy's death squads. It's highly unlikely that they survived, considering how brutal the land and its inhabitants were.
