House Brightstar
House Brightstar is a cadet branch of an eliminated house, House Bright. The Brightstars rule over the southern region of Mesanen and stand as "The Wardens of the South Sea".
Brightstar was formed by Vorian Brightstar the Kinslayer. This house was forged in blood, as Vorian slayed his entire family after they broke their oaths mid-war and rebelled against their king. After returning south with a portion of the king's army and his own platoons, they struck victory after capturing the rebellion's leader, Duke Tychos . During this war he slaughtered every male member of his small dynasty in battle after Vorian "Star's Blade" Bright was granted the cadet branch Brightstar, and the Dukedom that House Bright controlled before. For his service, and the stain on his reputation, Vorian Brightstar was married off to the King's first daughter and heir. After getting sick and dying extremely suddenly, Vorian's wife succeeded the throne as Queen making Vorian king.
The Brightstar crest is a single shooting star against the darkness of the night sky. This is a reference to the House Bright crest that has a bunch of stars lighting up a night sky.
