House Arken
The family that rules over the Scorched Ranges toward the northwestern edge of Messanen. The ancestral duchy and castle of the Arkens sits inside a dormant volcano that is a part of a range of active ones that create a somewhat natural border of lava and mountains between them and the Wyndfara Eastons to the West.
Part of the Arken’s power comes from their Moltant mines, a strong, dense ore that can only forms around volcanoes. This ore is rare, but makes extremely powerful armor and weapons. Weapons made by moltant ore can burn while being used, making these weapons extremely valuable. With an ore that seems to be like something from the Immortal's lands, this sought after ore makes them a family people seek constantly alliances with, through trade, business, or both.
The Arken crest is three red active volcanoes on a floor of black molten lava. The amount of volcanoes represents the amount of kings they have killed throughout history
