Urixe Mæyre (oo-REE-zjhe MEE-r)
Master Battlemage of The Deathless War . Creator of The Mysted Mæyre
Urixe Mæyre was a mage and commander of the forces of Liyn in Cræy. He worked tirelessly to inspire his subordinates, leading by example, and training them to great prowess with both their physical and magical abilitites. He kept his troops ready and alert, even when the leader of Liyn insisted that he was being irrational in his thoughts, and scaremongering for his troops. The other nations of Cræy didn’t believe that this was necessary, and neither did their leaders. However, this foresight was indeed a necessity, as it allowed at least one of the national forces to have some readiness to when Rix Telær began the Deathless War. It was that foresight and leadership that allowed Mæyre to be in a position to command and lead all the commanders of the combined and allied forces. After the powerful ending of the war, he was exhausted but had not been eliminated of his magical abilities. If anything, his abilities with magic were enhanced. However, instead of requesting more power or responsibilities of his liege, he requested retirement. He wanted to take and protect those he had accumulated as family, both blood and found. It was then that he founded the Mysted Mæyre as a way to protect his own from those who he had deemed to be incompetent with the knowledge and use of magic. They had no desire to learn when he had offered to teach them how to handle it. He knew that most he encountered would be like this, so he took those that showed some insight and consideration, those that thought like he did. He gathered them up and created his own community, a nation of his own, initially within the boundaries of Liyn. He had no desire to usurp the power of his liege, but he did not wish to live surrounded by people unwilling to listen to reasonable discourse and education. It is unknown when, or if, he has died.
