Magic Tattoos
NOTE: A lot of this is almost certainly going to change.
Magic Tattoos are tattoos done in Kraken ink, which allow the subject to potentially cast spells directly. The level of the spell permitted depends on the skill of the artist, and the nature of the spell is static; that is, each tattoo will only ever be able to cast the same spell. Additionally:
-Casting the spell causes one level of fatigue per tattoo
-Each Kraken Tattoo on the body consumes one level of fatigue when a spell is cast, whether its spell was cast or not
-multiple spells can be cast at once at no additional cost as a result
-Failed tattoos which are incapable of magic still consume one level of fatigue
-Exceeding the "incapacitated" level of fatigue by casting a spell with multiple tattoos active will kill you
Designs can also be painted onto Whale Bone Instruments for the same effect; however, rather than costing one level of fatigue, it requires a performance roll + as many raises as levels above novice the spell is. So, to cast a legendary spell would require a success with four raises. Furthermore, each instrument can only have 1 spell attached to it.
