The Never Forgotten
“Even ashes deserve a name.”
A Velari-led charity that gathers food, tattoos, and ancestral data from fallen outcasts and refugees. They cook for Voids, share memories, and perform rites so that even the unwritten find a place in history.
Their symbol: A markless hand cupped beneath a glowing plate.
- Represents the compassion given freely, without heritage requirements.
- The hand is engraved on stone gates leading to their sanctuaries; the plate is real—always warm, always waiting.
Purpose & Mission
- Recovery & Rites: They find exiled Velari—Voids, erasure victims, and memory-lost wanderers—and perform ancestral rites in their honour. Whether the person remembers their lineage or not, the ritual helps anchor them back into the Velari collective.
- Tattoo Restoration: Using recovered fragments from memory-glyphs, they restore or reimagine tattoos for those who lost theirs to shame, punishment, or trauma.
- Ancestral Data Gathering: They collect oral histories, genetic resonance, and residual tattoos to build a decentralized Ink Archive accessible to Verdans and Senvan scholars.
- Nourishment Programs: Food is symbolic. Glowshard stew is served at every gathering, each bowl tinged with Sporesalt to evoke emotion. Meals often become spontaneous memorials.
They can be found:
- Ember Refuge (Orraspire): A towering shelter built into an abandoned fungal bloom, filled with memory gardens and inkwork salons.
- Vault of Threads (Varnhold Rim): An underground archive where self-writing filaments transcribe forgotten stories into wall tapestry.
- The Wandering Table: A travelling caravan with meals, rites, and glyph offerings-believed to have passed the the Whispering Rift and returned unscathed.
