Thieves' Guild
Thieves Guild System
Guild Structure
The guild operates through a hierarchical system where members start as rookies and slowly climb through the ranks to become masters or even leaders. The ranks are determined by the level of experience, skill, and successful missions completed.
- Rookie – New recruits who are assigned basic tasks like pickpocketing, small burglaries, and espionage.
- Apprentice – Members who have completed a few successful jobs and have proven their skills.
- Journeyman – Skilled thieves who handle more dangerous and high-profile heists.
- Master – Elite members with great influence within the guild. They oversee large operations and control territory.
- Guild Leader – The head of the guild who controls the entire organization and its operations.
Guild Locations
The Thieves Guild operates in the shadows, so its locations need to be hidden or disguised, and each location can serve a different purpose, allowing players to interact with various aspects of the guild.
- The Hidden Den (Secret Headquarters)
- Location: Hidden beneath an abandoned warehouse, a rundown inn, or behind a false wall in a reputable establishment.
- Purpose: The guild's main base of operations. This location serves as a meeting point, where missions are assigned, and recruits are trained.
- Features: Secret passageways, hidden rooms, and vaults for storing ill-gotten gains.
- The Shadow Market (Black Market)
- Location: A hidden district, often in the slums or sewers of a major city.
- Purpose: A place where stolen goods are sold, and illegal services (like forgery, poison, and blackmail) are offered. Also used for buying information or hiring specialists.
- Features: Informants, shady merchants, and black market vendors who sell contraband. This is also a place for guild members to gather information or hire thieves for specific jobs.
- The Vault (The Guild Treasury)
- Location: A heavily secured underground complex hidden within a fortified building or secret cavern.
- Purpose: Stores the guild's wealth, treasure, and important documents. The Vault is off-limits to most guild members except those who are ranked highly enough.
- Features: Magical traps, hidden guardians, and complex locks. Often used for high-level heists or missions.
- The Training Grounds (The Academy of Shadows)
- Location: An unassuming, disused part of a city or a remote location far from the city.
- Purpose: A place where new recruits and apprentices are trained in thieving techniques, including lockpicking, stealth, and social manipulation.
- Features: Sparring areas, obstacle courses, and a variety of training materials such as traps, weapons, and disguised items.
- The Hideout (Safehouses)
- Location: Small, inconspicuous buildings, basements, or hidden rooms scattered throughout the city.
- Purpose: Safe locations where guild members can lay low, stash stolen goods, and hide from the law. They can also be used to plan heists or store treasure.
- Features: Secret passages, hidden compartments, and escape routes.
