Church of the Lost God

Religion did not survive the transition from Fergana to the Dome. The early founders of Tholaren Dome spent most of their effort on surviving, and not much on preserving the cultures of the time before. Later scholars would argue that this effort was deliberate, an attempt to rid themselves of the things that had led to being sequestered in the Dome. In any case, there is nothing left.   A few artifacts of past religions were preserved, but they lost all recorded meaning save that they were associated with religion. No texts, no ideology beyond the barest minimum, and even what exists is questionable as to how close it to what existed.   There are also the arguments that can be made that any deity had since abandoned the people of the Dome to their fate, and as such even if religion and faith had survived, they should be abandoned as ineffective.   Still, looking at the religions of the Low Gods and The Faith of the Star-Eyed, both very common belief systems in the area, they formed their own faith. It's not commonly followed, but it does exist, and most people if pressed will say that they believe there is something.

Mythology & Lore

Depending on who is asked, either there is no mythology at all, or it is nothing but mythlogy. It is entirely possible that both viewpoints are correct.

There are opposing viewpoints on the word "mythology" among those who regularly worship at the church building. Some will claim that there is no mythology to the religion, that it is simply a placeholder for whatever might have existed in the past, a desperate attempt to hold on to the faint memory that there was once something else to it.   Others state that the entire collection of believes and faiths that have developed for people since then have formed their own mythology of a separate church.

Divine Origins

The origins of the church came from the desire to have some kind of greater power, to have something to look to and hope for. At the same time, no data had been saved from before construction of the Dome. There were no recorded systems of belief, no religious or moral codes outside of the Fergana Charter and the laws by which society was lived.   Still, some people wanted something else, outside of the documents and computers that dictated their lives. So they crafted a building to worship and pray. The building was the important point. No priests or pastor or any kind of spiritual guides. Simply a place where anyone could come and quietly contemplate what might come beyond.

Priesthood

There are no priests or formal attendants, because there are no known, defined gods to attend. As a part of going to the church building itself, people are expected to clean up after themselves, to put some effort into maintaining the place.
