Biodoma Legions march out to war against Chuckland to gain revenge for Emperor Malcon. Over the next 11 years Biodoma would fight 5 key major battles and many skirmishes against Chuckland to reach High Marshall Yager to speak for his crimes against Biodoma.
The Conflict
Prelude
After the assassination of Emperor Malcon, the Senate elected Calvus Cato, former leader of the Preatorian Guard to lead Biodoma into a new age. Emperor Calvus first decree was to find the people who were responsible for Emperor Malcon's death. It took two years of investigating but it narrowed down to High Marshall Yager who told a radical group of Chucklandians to assassinate the current Emperor for the good of Chuckland.
While the group was successful in this attempt what the High Marshall failed to see that Emperor Malcon wasn't the only competent leader in Biodoma. The High Marshall expected that Biodoma would disolve into infighting but instead this made Biodoma more united better than even under Calvus Cato.
Biodoma would win the war and capture many conquered Chucklandian cities, villiages and resources. Due to the new expansion Biodoma would begin to divide its terrority into five key provinces with the Perposa Province, where Doma was, being the most powerful. Provicedal Governors would keep order in newly conquered provinces, usually the Governor would be the Dux who contributed the most to the war effort. The Dux incharge of keeping order in the new Chuckland Province was granted three legions to help gain control.
Chuckland remnants would be pushed futher west, force to settle new lands and reinforce old ones. Biodoma didn't conquer all of Chuckland, due to this the people of Chuckland rose up to face against Biodoma again for the War for Aura.
Historical Significance
For many, this war would define a whole generation of warriors. A lot of future leaders from both sides were stregthen through combat and hardships during the Revenge War. For Chuckland, the defeat that they faced from Biodoma only made them stronger as they venture out futher west to start a new. For Biodoma this war gave Emperor Calvus more of a reason to fully conquer Aura to secure Biodoma's future.
Many veterans of the war would write about there travels and experiences during and after the war.
Around 10 years after the war, an veteran Centurion of LEGIO III by the name of Servius Dio would write about his experiences in the war, this is consider the greatest account of the Revenge War in terms of accuracy.
During the Age of Darkness a playwrite by the name of Donato Manini would write a play called, "In the Face of Greatness," to re-tell the events of the war, although they weren't all that accurate.
This war saw Biodoma first use there famous armor the lorica segmentata as well as the gladius with an early version of the scutum. As long as the nation stands, Biodoma would continue to use and develop these armor and weapons, whether in combat or as a ceremonal weapons.
Chuckland used primative spears, long axes from the Dwarves, and slings with leather armor. They would also use a primative version of Rune Magic passed down to them by the Dwarves of the Diamond Mountain's. This version of Rune Magic was crude and did not always work on the weapons they were inscribe on, this made some weapons and armor dangerous to use as well.
