Shadowlands
The first place where the Fae attacked during the Realm Wars. Nagtelik was sent to dispatch the invaders but when he saw their numbers and power he instead shrouded the land they were invading in complete darkness. He later asked the god of knowledge and insight to weave his magic into the area as well to confuse anyone that entered. This meant the invading forces were trapped in a maze of darkness. They were not incapable of escape, but it was extremely unlikely. After the war the darkness persisted as there were still numerous creatures trapped in the darkness.
