Bad Temprance

A blade that once has found a wielder will sourer their mood. This longsword has a hand and a half handle, a dark fuller, a lovely bright steel edges, and magnifcent amathest set in the pommel. Once weilded the user feels bound to this weapon for all time.    As the sword is used it will slowly take the joy of the weilder and store it in the pommel. This slow sapping of joy will eventually turn the user into a rather angry person. As this occures the blade itself will begin to dull, chip, crack, and rust. The weilder will not notice that this is occuring to the blade and instead will see it as it once was, this effect also applies to negative remarks carried with it.    Once all the joy has been removed from its target, it force the weilder to a duel in the middle of battle. It does this by seeking out the person with the most joy on the field, not joy from battle but life. Once the new mark has been found the sword will shatter in the midst of combat ending the life of the former wielder. Upon the new mark surviving and retuning to their tent, laying on the cot will be a beautiful blade with a magnifcent amathest pommel.
