A realm of extremes—bestial, primal, and profoundly beautiful—Lorwyn is marked by colors and sensations more vivid and intense than those of the mundane world that followed. Lorwyn is populated by a vibrant variety of beings: kithkin, merrows, flamekin, boggarts, treefolk, giants, and faeries, each embodying aspects of its wild essence. Its menagerie includes springjacks, cervins, the shapeshifting race of mimics known as changelings, and majestic greater elementals. Presiding over Lorwyn are the seven divine beings known as the Eldest. According to @eternalism, the @Tassia defeated one of the Eldest, named Vawna.   Lorwyn exists in perpetual midsummer and eternal daytime, though its denizens still operate on a daily cycle. The plane observes dawn, noon, and dusk, with no night, with its day beginning when the sun grazes the eastern horizon and ending as it grazes the western horizon.   Reflecting the fey’s capricious whimsy, Lorwyn's natural laws are unpredictable and shifting. Distance and time are wildly inconsistent, so that mortal travelers might spend an hour or a day within Lorwyn, only to find that centuries—or mere seconds—have passed in their own world upon their return.   Lorwyn stands outside the cycle of souls, lacking a connection to the black leyline—a phenomenon the fey refer to as the "Great Abandonment." Also known to those on Tesslutut as "The Convergence". Only the rare worshippers of the Eldest incarnate here as fey souls. However, the plane’s proximity to Creation’s Forge imbues it with strange, vigorous life and an absence of true death for its native fey, unless they venture out—much like the gnomes did in the past. Though no natural gates are widely known, rumors abound of connections between wild places in Tesslutut and the fragments of Lorwyn that remain after the Convergence. Fey often exploit these pathways to visit Tesslutut or to lure mortals for their capricious desires, much to the chagrin of @Tassia.
