The Plane of Water

The Plane of Water is one of the four primary Elemental Planes, and provides one fourth of the raw materials used in the creation of Tesia.

It is sometimes depicted as an endless ocean, though it is not an ocean. The plane is entirely water. Top to bottom. There is no surface, there is no ocean floor. It's just water stretching for infinite miles in all directions. Normal water-breathing creatures cannot survive in the plane, as the water present there is completely devoid of suspended oxygen.

Some creatures do exist there, however. Inconceivably gargantuan beasts swim endlessly through the plane. They are, by necessity, anaerobic creatures, and function purely off of the kinetic energy generated by biological vacuum pumps forcing water through a complex circulatory system.
