The Hearkening Blade

A sentient Massacre Blade haunted by its original creator.

A greatsword with a blade measuring eight feet in length, the Hearkening Blade can only be wielded by those of particularly large build. Furthermore, it refuses to be used by the meek, as it craves violence and only violence.

Once bonded with a wielder, the blade will grant them unnatural might. For as long as the blade remains on its bonded wielder, either held or sheathed, the user will be infused with the strength of hundreds.

The blade itself is potently magical, and can cleave through any mundane armor as easily as flesh.

It is commonly believed that the blade drives its users to madness, speaking poisoned words to twist and control the mind. This is, however, the opposite of the truth. The Hearkening Blade merely listens, and does only as it is directed.
