The Black Jurors
The Black Jurors are a pirate faction in The Marrow Isles. They are unlike all other pirates, however, in that they are a group operated entirely by The Blackley Company. They are considered separate from the Company's main fleet and act entirely outside of the law. The Jurors serve as the Company's method of justice and revenge when pirates prove too wily for normal means of capture. More often that not, the Jurors don't seek to capture anyone at all, instead sinking whole ships and picking off survivors.
The Jurors were founded after the formation of The Corsair Alliance, as a way to kill pirates who would normally find social or legal protections through their connections.
They are not above any means of recompense, being known to engage in even chemical and biological warfare with pirate factions. However, despite their sole focus on the annihilation of piracy, the Company works tirelessly to pose the Jurors as a true pirate band, using every vicious deed they commit as fuel for the public's hatred of all pirates.
