Halfling

Halflings, sometimes affectionately called "Halfers", are humanoids that, when mature, stand to about the waist of a Human, between 3.5 to 4 feet tall. They are proportionately very similar to average humans, looking nearly identical to one when viewed from a distance.

Created by the goddess Behroza, they are often blessed with a joyous demeanor, a strong love of family and friends, and a passion for revelry and merriment. Because of this, social anxiety and depression are very common in the early adulthood of halflings, as many experience a potent burnout after such a busy and rigorous adolescence. But their commitment to community frequently provides them a strong network of support.

Dwarfism, often dubbed the "Ground's Love" among other folk, is completely absent in halflings. Gigantism (Sky's Love) however occasionally presents itself in individuals, causing halflings upwards of six feet tall. These individuals are playfully given the moniker of "full-ling" or "fuller".

Typical halfling lifespans stretch to a maximum of 170 years in regions with proper medicine, with many showing no clearly visible signs of aging until nearly 120. Until then, mature halflings appear similarly to a human in their late 30s.
