Prelude

In the years leading up to the confict, researchers with the Pyrhian Union's Kore Department of Development had discovered surprisingly intact Yu-Ten'Ni structures and artifacts in the northern Al'Biq region of the Pyrhian Union. Efforts were underway to secure these newly uncovered areas and begin excavation.

During preliminary site setup however, several of the research areas experienced a coordinated and unexpected attack from Netzlatl combatants, killing many personnel and destroying valuable excavation and research equipment. This open act of aggression, and both the consistent pressure and lack of interest in opening communication from the Netzlatl Empire, led to the beginning of the on and off series of confrontations termed "The Northern Al'Biq Conflict".
