Lūnis (lunɪs)

Lûnis

Lūnis (pronounced: lunɪs) is a deity of the moon, secrets, and protection of those who cannot protect themselves. People pray to Lūnis to keep from having nightmares or to keep their children safe at night.

Depiction

Lūnis depicted as a slender, youthful figure wearing flowing and draping white robe-like garments. They wear a golden half-mask-like headdress and carry a golden short bow and arrows. Some rare portrayals of Lūnis show them riding atop a writhing swarm of white snakes but many avoid this version of Lūnis imagery as it tends to make people uncomfortable.
