Gura (pronounced: ɡu.rə) is a deity of death and peaceful rest. Gura is most often called upon to oversee funerals and watch over the dead. Various motifs of Gura or their symbol (stone carvings and statues, images on headstones) feature commonly in graveyards.

Depiction

Gura is depicted as a massive, skeletal, snake-like dragon, often surrounded by floating blue or orange flames, or possibly souls. The most common portrayal of Gura shows them curled or draped in some way, giving the impression of sleep.

Gura's symbol is a closed eye over a pewter censer. The symbol is commonly referred to as the Tear of Gura or Gura's Tear, most likely due to the placement of the tear-shaped censer directly below the closed eye.
