House Kadreshi
History
One of the oldest standing houses during the Empire of Daigas, cut down in a single evening, during The Whisperer's rebellion. Like most families of the upper class, the family tried to flee during the onslaught, but were struck down as in their attempts. The Kadreshi family is significantly noteworthy, as they owned and operated the Colosseum fighting pits, thus holding the title as Daigas' largest solicitors of slavery and trading. The sacking of the House Kadreshi was a key sign of change, and a warning offered to others during the early hours of that ill fated night.Members
Khyber Kadreshi - Head of the household, and owner and proprietor of the fighting pits. After the protest in the pits (1521) Khyber ordered and personally oversaw the execution of 20 slaves who took part. His wife, Valessa Kadreshi was born to a lower class family, the daughter of an upholsterer and seamstress, and heir to their small business, she was far from the status of the Kadreshi name. Despite this, Khyber found Valessa's beauty such that he did all in his power to elevate her status. He invested in her parent's business, absorbing it into his own portfolio, and brought it to profitability, thus elevating her own family status closer to his own. While many who knew the Kadreshi family, particularly earlier generations, passed some judgement on the marriage, none could deny the beauty of Khyber's bride. The pair had two children, Partha, their son, and a daughter Caliope, they were four and one when the family was executed.
