Cliffkeep Mountains
These mountains are deceptively tall when viewed from the western side, as their softer foothills have been carved into a deep inland fjord lake by glacial activity. Dwarven mines line the side of the fjord, extending upwards into the mountains. The fjord is used to ship resources between the mines lining the mountain range.
The walls of the fjord are lined with waterfalls which drain meltwater from the alpine glaciers of the cliffkeep mountains, while warm winds blowing over inland wetlands and up the mountains replenish the glaciers with constant precipitation.
The fjord is often flooded due to glacial lake outburst floods at Rimefang ridge, which sends a devastating torrent of water surging through the fjord, causing damage to southern farmlands.
In the northern part of the fjord, warm north easterly winds meet cold katabatic winds from the Rimefang range, resulting in a frequent formation of waterspot tornadoes along the fjord.
