Silas was enrolled under his grandfather's teachings at a young age. In his family magical affinity has always skipped a generation so he was destined from birth to be magically inclined. But, upon starting his training His grandfather found that silas was completely inept at performing spells and, after years of tutelage, he's barely managed to make any progress in his grandfather's secluded tower and when he catastrophically fails a ritual is sent out into the world outside to learn magic for himself.
