Delvin Faroe

Delvin Faroe

A transplant to Dendralis from the Olde World, one may not realize just who they are speaking to when across from Delvin Faroe. Long and lean with narrow shoulders, a soft smile, and little muscle definition, Delvin's facade betrays his adventurous bent, as even his compatriots who have seen him in battle would still describe his appearance as bookish. His actions, however, speak far louder than his voice, having arrived in Dendralis less than a decade ago, only for him to have already become one of the most accomplished travelers of the continent. He has even been rumored to have an unknown connection to the Blue Lotus, though his response has always been to laugh off this accusation.

Early Life

Delvin's life prior to his arrival at Crescent City in 842, 3E is cloudy at best to anyone in Dendralis. Born to humble means, Delvin eschewed the feats of strength and might that most young males engaged in, and instead spent the vast majority of his childhood and adolescence buried deep in books about the Land of Trees, enamored with tales of Wood Elves and trees said to be "ten times taller" than any he had seen. Delvin left his home at a young age to begin work as a dock hand, intending to utilize connections in the sailing industry to gain passage to Dendralis. After nearly six years working the docks, Faroe finally secured passage on a vessel headed to Dendralis in the early months of 842, 3E.

Life in Dendralis

Since arriving in Dendralis, Faroe has established a life within the hustle and bustle of the Marketplace in Crescent City. Working as a Jack, Faroe has successfully ingrained himself into the local community, while developing a bit of a reputation as an adventurer and explorer, having ventured to some of the furtherest stretches of Dendralis since his arrival. His work often relies heavily upon his
exploratory work, typically being hired for investigative purpopses, ranging anywhere from material discovery, land surveying, and private investigation. He has also been contracted for contributions to a number of texts related to his adventurers, typically providing writing and pencil sketch drawings to be included in works, particularly from the Historian's Collective. contribution to his new home, Faroe recorded his earliest edventures in Dendralis - including his voyage across the Great Ocean - in a journal titled The Longest Journey, a copy of which was transcribed and saved in the Grand Library of Dendralis.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

No one would accuse Delvin of owning the stature of and adventurous hero. Aside from his height - standing at a cool 5'11" - Delvin would best be described as bookish. Healthily lean, narrow shoulders, minimal muscle definition to speak of, and a subtle gait, neither commanding all space around him, nor shrinking from the space he does take up.
