CCU - Canal de comunicación unificado
Describe an organization dedicated to make sure messages get from one place to another
The Canal de comunicación unificado (CCU) is an organization, created and supported by the Confederación Andina and manged by the Gobierno Federal de Chile, which maintains a network of standard codes and rules to ensure the internet works in a homogeneous way and allows all ppl in the area to talk to each other.
The CCU has its territorial branches in the Chile, Perù and Argentina; CCU+C/P/A.
Each of them has only a management role, they can't unilaterally modify the standards which are discussed and created by the CCU Forum with the Parlamento Federal de los Andes. The branches only have the task of maintenance of communication infrastructures in their jurisdiction's territory, including: check and ensure the optimal status of connection in all the territory, guard teh buildings and critical infrastructures, assure the cybersecurity of the network.
They don't have a military force, but they co-manage a branch of the Policia Federal (PF) and for critical patrols they rely on contractors. In the Atacama region it's the ENEI-A who manages its security, in Araucania it's the Mapuche nation which has the control of the infrastructures, while in Patagonia local contractors and the PF work together.
