Dragon
Dragons are mighty beasts that fly through the skies of Gyr. Long lived and intelligent, their power is revered by all.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Dragons are enormous saurian creatures with large horns, metallic scales, four legs, two wings and a long tail. Fully grown, they can be anywhere from 70 to 100 feet in length, with a wingspan almost as large. Their forelimbs end with vaguely human-like hands with large claws, while their back legs are digitigrade.
Genetics and Reproduction
Dragons lay clutches of 5-7 eggs, of which one or two will hatch. The rest become dull grey geodes filled with precious minerals.
Growth Rate & Stages
A dragon hatchling is around the size of a large dog. They grow reasonably quickly, but still take around a century to achieve their full adult size. Their scales become metallic upon maturity, and become rough and rusty-looking in old age.
