Layla's Egg

This mysterious item resembles an ornamental Wyvern Egg, with a pearlescent-white finish and jewel-encrusted details. It is held in high regard and with great importance in Ghazka’s Tribe, and the only member who may handle it is Layla herself. The story of the Egg tells of an ancient power imbued into strange items, capturing both primordial energies of the oldest beings and the raw power of the first Dragons. The Egg of the Dragon is said to have the power to transform otherwise regular draconic creatures into beings that can access the primordial energies of the elements themselves. Those transformed by the Egg’s power are known as The Unlocked Ones.   The issue, however, is that only those blessed by an Ancient Dragon may use the Egg. Otherwise the raw power will seep into the handler, imbuing them with an uncontainable amount of energy. This can manifest as everything from a flu-like disease that heats the body til exhaustion, to a slow pressure-build that concludes in a catastrophic explosion. Due to this, the Egg is never handled by any other than Layla herself. Should another come into contact with it, they must be Cleansed in Draconic Blessed Fire otherwise by banished from their civilisation.
