The Devourer Ammit
An ancient being, existing for long as the gods themselves have, Ammit came into existence with an insatiable appetite. His immense form and complex biology allowing him to consume nearly anything. Stories tell of him devouring entire villages, right down to the last brick.
A being of chaos, it wasn't long before the gods grew displeased with the Ancient One's actions. The gods exiled Ammit from existence, locking him away in a demi-plane of their own design. Stories tell of this plane being accessible to these gods by a gargantuan chasm, that then served as a waste chute. The gods would use this chute to get rid of anything they felt tainted existence. Even other, lesser gods.
This chasm, his purgatory prison, could not be entered or crossed by any other immortal being - mortals could do so only at their own risk. In this zone between worlds, no magic would work, no powers would pass as it was governed by Universal Law. Any mortals who lost their lives to the chasm, would forfeit their souls to the Devourer as well.

None. He may not leave his prison - a demi-plane.
