Jarod Westguard
Jarod Westguard is known as “the Prophet” and his followers believe that he has seen the future in a series of visions. Jarod is said to have many visions and is rumoured to be able to give some people individual prophecies if they seek him out.
His most feared and respected prophecies are what he refers to as his “dream sequence”. His followers believe that each dream is a vision of a possible future, although they believe that some may be related to each-other.
These are Jarod Westguard’s Dream Sequence:
“In my first dream I stand upon the bridge of a wrecked ship and watch helplessly as Tantalus is besieged by wave after wave of Greenskins that smash into the burning docking bays in the tens of thousands. Even through the vacuum of space I hear the screams of the dead and dying, those screams still haunt me."
“In the next dream I find myself standing in one of the massive halls of Tantalus and saw the people there fighting each-other, rioting, looting, killing in a blood-rage. I saw a family, sometimes they are human, sometimes not, in the middle of a fire that engulfed them all. This dream always ends with my view drifting away from tantalus as I watch drifting wrecks pass by and lights wink out one-by-one."
“My third dream is of a shadowy… something, it is always unseen, but I can feel it lurking in every dark place. I try to run, but I find myself standing in the middle of the Assembly Council hall at Tantalus, looking around at a sea of darkness that flooded over me. As this shadow consumes me, I feel it pressing into my eyes, my ears, my mouth, and I am gone."
“In my fourth dream I stand witness to the arrival of a shining golden saviour, a towering figure that smashes through the waves of Greenskins like they were made of paper. I can not look upon this entity, it burns out my eyes when I try, but before the dream ends I realise that this being is not just killing Raiders, but people too, smashing everything that stands before it in a murderous rage."
“My fifth dream begins as I fall into the strange misama of the Scylla Reef, I see a thousand thousand planets consumed by fire and darkness, I fly over one planet that is only half swallowed by darkness and I see a gigantic golden figure holding back the night. I try to shout out, try to ask what’s happening, and as I do my lungs burn and I am blown away on the solar winds."
“The sixth dream breaks over me like a fever and I feel pain like nothing I’d known, but in the midst of that pain I look through thousands of eyes, some human, some not, and I witness the fall of civilization, I feel nothing but relief. I watch as a shadow passes over all that my thousand eyes can see, and then I realise that I am moving away and I feel great satisfaction, freedom, and as I awake I always believe that this is a dream, a hope… but not my dream.”
