Synove, Duchess of Blackstone
Overview
Synove was born in 5030 SA, the second daughter of the Weisheit family. Her family has long been a part of the Witten council that has advised the King of Exdale and Saxdale. She spent much of her very pampered childhood in the south of Saxdale, becoming accomplished at piano, painting, and writing. At 15 she was presented at court of Roderic the Great and quickly became the object of desire for many of the noble men there. Heiress to a large dowry through her father, plus the political connections gained through her two brothers, many sought to court her. But Synove is nothing if not intelligent and independent. She convinced her father that the heir of Fultreo family would be the best choice for her inevitable political marriage. Despite these cold beginnings, it does seem that the two of them get on as a pair very well. Their daughter Anya is her pride and joy and she devotes most of her time to her daughter's education. She does, however, take an active part in the governance of her husbands lands and frequently witnesses decrees from the Duke.Personality
From the outside world's perspective, Synove is the model noble woman. Dutiful, dilligent, and she is the subject of much flattery and poetry form noblemen throughout the court when she is able to attend. To those who know her more closely, she is independent, intelligent, clever, and kind. She facilitates many of the ceremonies and charities in her husbands lands as well as the ones she controls directly. While rumors abound around her husband, none of it seems to rub off on her.
