Maesren
Overview
Place and date of birth are unknown like most everything else about Maesren. No records of her exist before her arrival at Blackstone in 5027 SA. The day is remembered as the day the castle floors ran with rivers of blood. Maesren may look like a young girl, but she was responsible for the majority of the death that day. Aelfstan has since installed her as the retainer of his household. Those who have gone looking for trouble in the castle of Blackstone are never seen again. It is unknown if it is due to Maesren herself or the loyal house guard she oversees. Rumors also abound that there might be something else between her and the master of the castle, though none dare investigate and risk being the fool who knew too much.Personality
Elegant, cordial, and cheerful. Maesren is often seen passing the castle windows playing with Anya or attending to Duchess Synove. When the two leave the safety of the castle Maesren is always in attendance, normally sheilding her pale complexion and those of her charges with a large parasol. Though her demeanor is extremely laid back and disarming, there have been at least four attempts to kidnap the Duchess and heiress reported by outside sources. They note only that a force was sent each time. No survivors or bodies have ever been found from these attempts.
