Heirophant of Nippur Amargi

Ninamargi is the high priestess of Nippur, the sad and tragic center of the Naram-Sin's mad bid to overthrow and supplant the gods.

Given the levels she has devoted to celestial bloodline, this will place her at 20th level.   Corruption Aura (Su) Ninamargi is surrounded out to 300 feet with a sinkhole of evil. Weather and nature are twisted to a paradoxical degree due to her hag nature. This aura even affects other planes she may travel to.   Cursed Glare (Su) Ninamargi may look upon another with the “eyes of death”, forcing a Fortitude check against DC 22 to avoid death (destruction if undead)   Divine Insight (Su): Ninamargi is able to touch the essence of reality, albeit in a mind-bending way. She has an "insight score" equal to her level as Sybil that has three effects. 1. She adds the insight score to Wisdom when determining bonus save DCs when using her spell-like abilities. This bonus is already factored in. 2. She subtracts this score from her Wisdom score when making any other checks or saving throws involving Wisdom alone. This has already been factored into her standard Will save and skill bonuses. 3. Once per day, Ninamargi can add her insight score to Wisdom when making a check or save. She must choose to use this power before making the roll. (Her bonus will rise by +7).   Immunities (Ex) Ninamargi is immune to charm, fear, and sleep effects.   Insight (Su): When Ninamargi dreams, she occasionally and inexplicably gains flashes of insight about past, present, and future events. She is cultivating this power as a Sybil through meditation but has no real control over it, merely the ability to evoke it through riddling. It also functions independently of her desires.   Mysterious Lore (Ex): Ninamargi has access to a special lore check much like that of bards and loremasters, but she is restricted in how she can use this ability. She adds her insight score (+7) to the die roll, but on a failure she loses the benefit of her reclusive insight ability until she can spend another 24 hours in solitude.   Nightmare Touch (Su): With a successful touch attack, Ninamargi can plague an enemy with a night of troubled sleep. Unless the victim succeeds on a DC 20 Will save, they suffer the effect of the nightmare spell when they attempt to sleep.   Reclusive Insight (Su): By spending 24 hours in complete solitude, Ninamargi adds her insight score to her Intelligence score when making any checks that depend on Intelligence, such as Scry or bardic knowledge, for the next 24 hours. Her insight score is subtracted from Intelligence to determine bonus spells or save DCs when casting arcane spells or using arcane spell-like abilities during this same period.   Riddle (Sp): Ninamargi possesses the gift of prophecy and will see more clearly as she increases in experience. However, the truths she sees are couched in mystery. These revelations are always accurate and carry no cost in experience points or material components, but demand a price be paid—answer the riddle. A correct answer earns the questioner the benefit of the specified divination spell, with no chance of failure. An incorrect answer, however, carries a penalty, which is more severe the more difficult the riddle becomes. Conundrum: The lowest degree of prophecy expresses itself in a conundrum. The riddle is a simple one. A correct answer earns the benefit of an augury spell, with no chance of failure. An incorrect answer causes the questioner to take 1 point of temporary damage to an ability score of Ninamargi's choice. Ninamargi can use this ability seven times per day. Mystery: Ninamargi may also invoke greater prophecy through a mystery. The riddle is moderately challenging. A correct answer earns the benefit of a divination spell, with no chance of failure. An incorrect answer causes the questioner to take 2 points of temporary damage to an ability score of Ninamargi's choice. Ninamargi can use this ability seven times per day. Koan: Deeper secrets are revealed through koans. The riddle is challenging. A correct answer earns the benefit of a commune spell as cast at 14th level (Ninamargi contacts a powerful extraplanar entity bound to the will of Apsu). An incorrect answer causes the questioner to take 2 points of temporary damage to each ability score. Ninamargi can use this ability three times per day.   Spell-like Abilities: Ninamargi can cast calm animal, change self, charm person, detect magic, entangle, hide from animals, pass without trace, and longstrider at will. Three times a day, she may cast augury, call lightning, darkness, disguise self, dream, flameblade, fog cloud, geas, gust of wind, poison, sleet storm, tongues, unholy aura, and zone of truth. Once a day, she may cast blasphemy, contagion, desecrate, dominate person, eyebite, faerie fire, ice storm, lightning storm, sleep, unhallow, and unholy blight. These powers are cast at 14th level, and are all DC 27.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Ninamargi was an Anunnaki of Erech performing the rites of Inanna when the Beloved of Seth intervened. It claimed her for Service, overruling Inanna and granting her full citizenship while yet a virgin. The Beloved then installed her at the Ekur in Nippur. She was the en of Nippur when Naram-Sin besieged it, ritually defiling the Ekur wearing the namlugal culminating with his raping her atop the altar of the Ekur, an act of blasphemy so heinous it brought Apsu to awareness and lead to that entity crushing Naram-Sin in possession while Ninamargi was taken over by the spirit of Loruhama, expending the power of her Last Egg. Ninamargi was overtaken, first by terror, then by Loruhama, then by Endingir as the Temple Dancer smuggled her to Antediluvian Eridu, where she was tended by apkallu in her pregnancy and privy to the instruction they passed to Endingir while he was still in her womb. Once the priestess of Enlil, she lost her connection to the divine and was instead opened to the uncaring cosmos, becoming a sybil and delving further into madness and prophecy. Once Endingir was born, she was returned to Nippur and reinstated as en, a position she still holds. Ninamargi’s mental state is ragged and inconstant, waxing and waning as desired by the referee, deviating from her canny politically savvy self to a shattered victim raped by the Primal Creator, to a dominated slave of the God-King. She vacillates from one mindset to another, torn by pacts with Seth and Endingir’s ruthless control. Although mentally unstable, she is cared for in her worst moments by Netokretet, a night hag loyal to the Beloved who serves as her nursemaid and Dimme, the lugal of Nippur, a marilith bound to Pazuzu. United, they form the covey that controls Nippur. The Ekur under them is still a profane place, worshiping the utukku as the Seven Who Decree Fate and serving as the house of Pazuzu.
