Personal history

Set was raised alongside his older brother Anubis on the Planet Heliopolis. As Anubis was the older of the two, he would be their fathers heir for the throne, leaving Set as the mere advisor. Nevertheless, Set took this with dignity and swore to always assist his brother and his people in times of need.   3385 would be the year where Set would shift his ideals completely. A delegation of the Roc, who the Medjai worshipped as their saviors, viciously attacked Sets homeworld Heliopolis and stole their planets energy source while their orbital bombardements killed both his father and his niece. After investigating the attack, the Medjais intelligence located the Rocs homeworld, and Set demanded to deliver justice by teleporting the Dyson Sphere Colony that contained their solar system right next to the Roc homeworld, throwing it out of orbit. Anubis wasn´t very fond of the idea, stating that he wanted to solve the issue diplomatically. As an answer, Set shot his brother in the head with a Pistol, presumably killing him. Panicking and realizing what he had done, Set tried to undo his mistake by extracting his brother brain and putting it into an artificial body.   While Anubis was in coma, Set ordered the attack on Aquila, which was carried out shortly after. Colony 42, as the Medjai called the Dyson Sphere, used its interdimensional drive to teleport into Aquilas orbit, causing catastrophic damnage on its surface and launching it towards the sun as planned. Due to the gravitational load however, Colony 42 also took severe, permanent damage, almost destroying the colony. Shortly afterwards, the Niohri, another species from Colony 42 rebelled against the Medjai after seeing how they almost destroyed their entire system. The rebellion failed however, and the Niohri homeworld would be occubied by the Medjai.   In the following years, Set tried to hunt down the remaining Roc and was eventually successful when his intelligence located a Roc space vessel in the Covenants border regions. As it turns out, it was a mere research vessel, escorting a dangerous bioweapon to Galileo 1641-B. After boarding the ship, Set found the weapon to be nothing more than a little boy, but after setting him free in order to kill him, the boy wiped out Sets unit instead, leaving the ship with an escape pod. Only the boys father, a man named Columba Ziz Falco, was captured alive as he allowed his other comrades to escape by deleting the vessels original destination.   Set, fascinated by Columbas research, forced him to continue his project in order to gain that very same strength he witnessed when the boy wiped out his unit. Columba stated that this strength came from the strange substance that the Medjai brought with them after raiding his spaceship and warned them that it was unstable, seemingly having a mind of its own. Ignoring his warnings, Set decided to continue the reasearch by himself, even injecting himself with the strange substance that turned out to be Red Matter, turning him into a Cronomorph.   Columba also stated that the attack was not carried out by the Roc, but by a seperatist faction of the Roc called the Fulvus, but Set did not seem to care about commiting genocide by accident. Instead, Set began to see Red Matter as a divine gift, enabling his people to regain his species´s lost strength and to ascend to godhood. To reach that goal, Set would spread his "gift" over the entire galaxy, but there seemed to be a catch he failed to calculate: Red Matter was still unstable, with the only stable Cronomorph having escaped years ago. This instability lead to frequent, tormenting pain, even desintegrating at some point, causing Sets inevitable death. His dreams of immortality being destroyed, Set went through Columbas archives and found out about the Omni-Orbs, strange artifacts able to preserve any kind of matter indefinately. Since it was also an Omni-Orb being Heliopolis´ energy source, Set could kill two birds with one stone, becoming a god and saving his homeworld.   Eventually, he found out that the Covenant was storing several Omni-Orbs in secured facilities all over the galaxy, with only the Covenants High Chairman knew of. Conveniently enough, the Medjais intelligence picked up thousands of Covenant news broadcasts, reporting the end of a conflict they called the Gaja-Crisis, and that the Covenants High Chairman would visit the border regions to personally invite a new species called humanity into their organization.   Set had a Plan: By abducting the High Chairman, he would gain acess to the Covenants central archive via the High Chairmans brain implant, thus being able to locate the other Omni-Orbs. This should also increase the pressure on the Covenants member species, as their state secrets could potentially be exposed as well as the galactic infrastructure being affected by Sets being able to delete all travel routes, should he gain access.   During the first stage of his operation, Set attacked the Galileo 1641-B star system during humanities admission ceremony, successfully abducting the High Chairman Jafar Osman as well as the OUC Overlord Karen Dewitt as well as several human prime ministers, kicking off the events of TERRA AFTER EARTH: DEN OF THE WOLVES.   After the United Colonies, aided by the Covenant managed to successfully retaliate by invading Sets homeworld Heliopolis, he as well as several million other loyal and indoctrinated soldiers fled by installing a Wormhole Drive on Heliopolis´ moon Ishara, now being able to use the moon as a mobile base of operations. As Set now knew where to find the Omni Orbs scattered across the galaxy, he set out to seize them, closely followed by the Vanguard Fleet at the beginning of TERRA AFTER EARTH: AT FUTURE´S MERCY.
