The Wandering Isles
A tropical region where people and animals rely on the ocean's bounty.
Geography
The largest landmasses are the volcanic islands: Beachy, Pinnacle, Garden, and a few others. Between them, there is shallow and clear water, around 1000 to 2000 feet deep, with a few deeper basins that lead out to open ocean.
As the names suggest, Beachy is an island with wide expanses of black sand, Pinnacle has a single tall mountain (actually, an active volcano) and Garden is rich with trees, flowers and animal life. These landmarks all form important parts of Islandine tradition when their towns pass by.

Localized Phenomena
The Wandering Isles is the most well-defined area of creation energy, simply because scholars are able to find the outer limits of the archelonians' habitat. Beyond that, the seaweed is unable to recover from such large herbivores, so a border of barren seafloor is considered to mark the outer edge of the Isles.
Fauna & Flora
Everyone who knows about the Wandering Isles knows about the Archelonians, the massive sea turtles that hold entire towns on their backs. These creatures shape the entire ecosystem, eating from the kelp forests and circulating nutrients through the deeper waters.
History
Humans and gnomes have lived here since the Founding Era. They care deeply for the archelonians, who carry whole villages on their shells. Over time, the Islandines have developed different practices for building and farming in small communities. Several specialized professions are present in each village, and they learn from masters of the craft on the major islands. Pinnacle is the main source of stone and metal tools, Garden provides flora and fauna to strengthen each mini-ecosystem, and Beachy is where Islandines learn how to care for the great turtles they call home.
