The Order of the Black Rose
The Order of the Black Rose is one of a number of adventuring guilds throughout the realm of Tentandia. The Order of the Black Rose is primarily a guild for fighters and warriors but has been known to accept other adventurers deemed worthy into their ranks. The initial founding date of the Black Rose is unknown, but the best guess currently holds the Order was founded a few hundred years ago. The first Black Rose Hall was located in Salamis, but in the present day multiple cities house branches of the Black Rose. Their status as a mercenary guild affords the Order leeway when charting the troubled waters of Tentandian politics, and perhaps consequently it is not uncommon for members of the Black Rose to find themselves on opposite sides of a conflict. Moreover, Black Rose Halls can be found throughout various cities in Tentandia ranging from proud dwarf holds to the forest-cities of the elves. As a consequence, the Black Rose is a highly diverse, highly skilled organization in the realm.
The Seven and the Order of the Black Rose
The Seven first came across the Order of the Black Rose in the elven city of Calm Winds. Before setting out for Middleham, Ranvak Brawnbeard and Sir Gamut of the Oranges joined the Order under the sponsorship of Bjornson Pelsrustning. The new initiates were tasked with aiding Bjornson in whatever quest the Blood Dragon deemed fit, and left the city. After defending Range's Edge from the forces of Radagos, the friendly bartender Horace approached Sir Gamut and gave him two Markers of the Rose, golden coins inlaid with onyx bearing the crest of the Black Rose, as signification that the two had completed their task as assigned by Bjornson. These markers are redeemable at any Black Rose Hall, to be used as currency within the Order.Fortitude, Perennial
