Nearly a thousand years have passed since the last great war of the Tense River Basin. Now stuff isn't so bad. The undead still rise and roam the hills. But thats just life in the Basin. As long as you listen for the screamers, you should be able to stay out of trouble. At least, that's what the locals'll tell ya. But you aren't from around here. And they seem a little bit standoffish. Maybe you can win them over. The Tense River Basin is is made up of forests, tributaries, grasslands, and cradled by mountains. The winters are harsh, and the summers hot. But for at least thirty minutes on the second night of fall, things are just perfect there. Wild beasts roam the hills. The call of the Enormoose echoes in the northern mountains. And to the south, the Fortch Horde seems agitated. Rumors spread, but are ardently denied, that an evil has risen again. Perhaps. Or perhaps it is just an old man shouting at clouds and tilting at windmills. This region could be on the verge of something catastrophic, or maybe it just always seems like it is the endtimes when the dead scream in the fields at night.
