Genasi
Genasi are a race of creatures, born from the elements, being almost entirely formed of them. There are few known families of Genasi in the world of Tempor'Il, due to their unusual breeding conditions. Any Genasi can conceive a child, which some scholars suspect may lead to a rise of genderless or nonbinary Genasi. However, in order for a Genasi to conceive a child, they must go through a long, arduous process. First, they must find a partner, generally one of Genasi heritage (however, there can be some exceptions). Next, the partners must go on a trek through to the elemental plane of a Genie, generally relating to the element the Genasi is related to, for safety reasons. Then, the Genasi must prove to the genie that they are worthy of having a child, which depending on the Genie, could range from a test of love and affection, to bribery with wealth and precious minerals. If they are deemed worthy, a Genasi will then become pregnant with a child, one whom the Genie may choose the genetics of, however they will always be born as a Genasi. Because of this structure of breeding, it is possible for a Genasi to breed with someone who is of another race, or even a Genasi of another element. However, each Genie is known to have different levels of severity, with Earth Genies known to have some of the simpler situations, and Air Genies having some of the most complicated. However, despite this, there are no known Fire Genasi within the world. Genasi, due to their nature tend to be very familial in nature, leading to close-knit family, with familial love being a very common theme, with siblings or cousins often being partners. Because of this, there are only 4 known Genasi families, the Lagun (La-goon) family of Water Genasi, known for their work in the business world. The Viajan (Vee-ya-han) family of Earth Genasi are known to be hated by the Aislar (Aye-slar) family of Earth Genasi due to their outward and frequent partnerships with non-Genasi races. Finally, a family of Air Genasi known as the Nordma Family, (Nord-ma) have built their culture around strict rules and regulations.
