Swedenhatius
The first Geminist city in the world, and arguably the most pious, Swedenhatius stands as a clasped prayer to on high, its spires and incense-chimneys being a constant reminder of the holy history of this proud Metropolis.
Defences
A notable feature of Swedenhatius is the monumental array of stone walls surrounding the old town, the only visible evidence of Merticia's once-great Imperium of South. The stoneworks may be old, but they're still well-cared for even in times as dire as these, partly for appreciation of ancient history, and partly because... the citizens of the city know that a hiding place is worth gold when brother turns on brother.
Federal, Regional, and City police all patrol the city at all hours of the day, mostly in armored vehicles with long guns out. These are desperate times for the local government, but they're determined to put on a face of strength to dissuade additional challengers, no matter what side they're from.
Fun fact: Swedenhatius is the most gilded city in the world, contaning over Five-hundred thousand tonnes of declared precious metals, mostly Gold or Silver
