Wider still, yet wider!
Artemis the Second was the eldest child of the Saint Artemis and Divinar Haeasvethi. He oversaw the triumph of the Great War, the disgraceful Fedrian Conflict, and to this day remains one of the most controversial figures in recent Artesjan history. His rule was characterized by a general militarization of the Federation, with the Great War seeing the largest conscripted force in the history of Artesja, a blistering 7 million.
Artemis II was certainly much more conservative than his father, and the ADK under his leadership transitioned into something more resembling a Left-wing Nationalist Party, given the man's unflinching opinions on sovereignty and the importance of a strong army. In Artesja, he is often called "The Divinar who sat on our throne" in light satirism of these leanings.
"For peace, we arm ourselves."
As the son of a Saint, Artemis II struggled a lot in his early life, often feeling that the achievements of his father overshadowed everything he himself tried to accomplish. When he stormed Salrethik, his father was landing on the beaches of Ressia, even after his father's tragic passing, people would constantly compare his rule to that of his father and mother, why? He was no Saint, no divinely ordained Divinar, he was simply the Son.
