Death of the Mad Queen

Artemis the Second was dead slain at the hands of the Mad Queen Naima, the world was shocked and Artemis observed from the divine temple as she paraded around celebrating the death of his son. Artemis was going to kill her with his own hands, he went alone during the night dropping down around Bad Hansa, his hometown.   He was not ready to fight her now though, he had heard rumors of an excellent warrior up in the north. He traveled through the heats of Fabia and through the biting cold of Nomadia, until he reached the lands of Ouakalia. He requested to meet their best warrior and, on the grounds of him being a god, was introduced to Gwenevere. She was an adept marksman, Artemis asked her to travel with him on his journeys to avenge his son.   They sailed across the middle sea, ready to fight their way through Sweden. Artemis promised Gwenevere that, for her bravery she would be crowned "Champion of Artemis". They arrived in Sweden ready for a fight, snuck through the many twisting paths of the Swedish desert and arrived in Fedria without a scratch.   "Who are your friends? If you have any?" Artemis asked "I have a friend named Aingeal, she was killed in a recent Swedish raid." "The Swedes killed my lover too, her name was Eliza. I loved her." "Sorry to hear that." "Dont worry about it, i got over it. Got married too." "To whom?" "A lady named Jadwiga, Queen of Fabia." "I remember that, i learned about that in school." "Ouakalia is teaching about me in their schools?" "Yeah" "Actually had a child with her, he was killed by the mad queen though." "Is that why we're after her?" "It is" "I just want to say, it an honor to travel with you Artemis" "Thanks"   Then, as they were trying to sneak into Fedria they were discovered by a patrol. They weren't going to get away without fighting so they prepared themselves however, they didn't stand a chance. Artemis was beaten, Gwenevere was nearly killed.   Luckily, because they were presumed dead the Fedrian authorities weren't looking for them. They were wandering through the connifer forests of Fedria when they discovered a lone cabin in a tiny meadow.   "Who's There!?" Sounded from inside the hut "Don't worry, we're not going to hurt you" Artemis said, the weight of his words calming the inhabitant of the hut "Are you sure? The Fedrians came by a while ago and took my brother..." "I promise" "Ok, what do you want?" "I want to know who you are" "I am Seig, and i am from Artemisia." "Artemisia eh? Do you know about Artemis the unifier?" "Of course i do, it's litterally in our name. Are you dense or something?" "Step outside"   Out of the hut came a man with brown hair and blue eyes carrying a Shotgun. "here i am, my follower." "Artemis!? is that you? "It is, i am on a quest to kill the woman who killed my son" "You are? here, take this"   The man gave Artemis a shotgun "Thank you"   Gwenevere and Artemis headed further into the lands of Fedria, until they reached the Coppert Fortress. The home of the mad queen "Here we are" They snuck into the castle by scaling the walls and jumping across gaps, until they finally arrived at the queen's chambers "NAIMA!" Artemis bellowed "Ah, welcome i've been expecting you.." "I have come to take your life" "You have come to try" Naima lunged into the air, greatsword in one hand and revolver in the other.

Artemis was armed with the royal scimitar and a small shield, Gwenevere had a quad-barrel shotgun and small dagger. Naima quickly downed Gwen by stabbing her through her stomach, Artemis was more of an opponent but also quickly fell to the queen's relentless attacks. Naima picked up Gwenevere and started to torture her right in front of Artemis' eyes   Artemis tried to stand up but found himself being held down by the steel greatsword impaling him, Niama took her sword and ordered that Artemis started to stab Gwenevere and kill her himself. Artemis stared crying.   Naima moved on to attacking Artemis, "It's really a shame, Artemis if it hadn't been under these circumstances you would've actually been my type"   Everything seemed lost, until Gwenevere appeared behind Naima and distracted her by shooting her in in the back. Naima turned around and stabbed Gwenevere repeatedly, this however gave Artemis enough time to stand up and prepare three throwing knives.

"Go to Sweden and stay there for once"

Artemis hurled the knives as Naima charged towards him though, it was to late for her. She was hit in her neck, heart and stomach. She died a few minutes later

Artemis rushed over to aid Gwenevere though, she was beyond saving, she managed to gather enough strength to utter her last words.

"Arte..is i.. Lo.. ou."   The mad queen was dead, but an innocent soul was lost in the process.
