The Temple at Zis

Located on the side of the mountain on the island of Zis, the Temple at Zis is the largest site of worship for the Divine Duality. It is where the Faithful go to become Neophytes, and to where they retreat in avoidance of the rest of the world. It is home to the greatest number of the Faithful.   Many people fear the Faithful of the Divine Duality because they are believed to be forcefully blinded, and walk around with their eyes covered, but somehow seem to see...and to judge. They are self-appointed enforcers of the Laws of Alcides, and often act as judge, jury, and executioner. Moreover, it is not unusual for them to recruit unwilling "Followers".   Because of the general fear surrounding the Faithful of the Divine Duality, no one else goes to the Temple at Zis, and so, it is shrouded in mystery. It is said to be partially ruins, of an ancient temple that was all but destroyed in some ancient war. The outermost, southern walls can be seen from the sea, and are known to be black as night. It is rumored that, deep inside the Temple, there is a tunnel that descends so far into the ground, no one knows how deep it goes. Or what it leads to.
