A Rhadanthium Staff, "Lifebinder"

"Lifebinder" is a a tall Rhadanthium staff of medium thickness, shiny, iridescent black in color, as is typical for rhadanthium weapons. It is topped with the likeness of a pinecone in bloom.   As with all Rhadanthium items, Lifebinder has a history that seems to be part fact and part fiction. Currently in the possession of Governor Eileithyia Ursanaa, it has no known prior owner. There is a story passed around that a person once appeared in a cloud of dust and light that was so bright, no one could look directly at it. Except for Eileithyia herself. A pair of hands reached out of the cloud, holding Lifebinder, and the Governor reached out and accepted it. Of course, this is largely a fiction - part of the mythos that surrounds "The Mother".   Lifebinder functions well as a fighting stave - there are stories of Eiliethyia using it in combat or practice, and these should be considered reliable. However, there is a rumor that a poisoned spear point is concealed inside the pinecone tip, which when extended, has been said to drip like honey. The few reports of this are secondhand, and should not be relied upon.   Attempts made to obtain more detailed information about the stave have been met with strong, if polite, resistance from the Governor and those close to her.
