The Living Bestiary

The Living Bestiary is a unique shop in Bellfall dedicated to containing beasts and selling encounters with them primarily to druids and skinchangers. It is a large, sturdy glass terrarium with a bronze frame. Inside the outer glass casing, space is warped to allow large and varied biomes that serve as habitats for a variety of creatures. Myriad enchantments preserve the safety of patrons in the shop as they move around the area. Patrons of the shop can choose to purchase specific encounters at high rates or play a variety of gambling games to win random encounters.
  Games include the popular roulette, in which groups bet on what creature they will encounter in a brief tour and stand to win money or an encounter of their choice, the Hunting, in which people bet on the outcome of an encounter between beasts for money, and the Feeding, a dangerous game in which single patrons volunteer to forgo protection for a random encounter of high rarity. If they survive, they gain the experience of the encounter and a sum based on their bet and the danger of the creature. If they surrender, a rescue is attempted and they forfeit their bet. If they do not survive, the house retains all of their collected wealth.
