Dreamseers

Dreamseers are individuals with the ability to enter the dreaming minds of others. This ability is often an unconscious one; most dreamseers are unaware of their ability and assume that the occasions in which they have entered the dreams of another are actually just particularly unique dreams of their own mind. Some individuals, however, have become aware of their ability and have found ways to use it to their advantage. Dreamseers who become aware of their abilities have agency within the dreams of others, and although they cannot fully control the dream, they can impose their will upon it, causing it to shift in ways it would not otherwise do so. This can have adverse effects on the mind of the host, causing disorientation, hallucinations, and in extreme cases, insanity upon waking. This ability can be used to glean information from a dreaming mind, influence the opinions or beliefs of the host, and implant outside ideas, among other things.
  Notable organizations who take advantage of this ability include the secretive Closed Eyes of the high elves and the Awoken of the Abyss.
