Vaporavem

Children of the Simurgh Amprein, the Thunderbird, and Laeera, the Rain Bird, these elemental birds of steam and wind come in a wide variety of appearances, but all have inherited aspects of their mother's coddling nature and their father's mean streak. They are the (usually) unintentional byproduct of the two Divine Birds' interactions, particularly when Laeera hides Amprein's violent temper tantrums from the world.

When these birds interact in certain ways with the Miasma beneath the clouds of the Tear, Plaguebearers are formed; Living creatures of scalding steam and liquid death.
