Cauldron Rift

The Cauldron Rift is an uncontrolled interdimensional gate that opens irregularly near the Cauldron region in the Black Teeth of Gendal mountain range.    

1. Origins

In spite the absence of any official explanation on behalf of the Alchemist's Guild, people in the south are sure that the Rift started to appear when the first Arrivals came to the land.   (Spoiler: True Origins)
The uncontrolled Rifts (four known to this point, but more are estimated in the wilderness) are caused by disruptions in the Athem field, as a consequence of the strong interference from the Alchemists and their synthetically produced Sphere.    

2. Functionality

  The Cauldron Rift appears as a prismatic sphere with a lilac tone in several meters height. Creatures with a certain mental connection to the Athem seem to be drawn to this Rift: The Arrivals here show a certain interest for exploration and action in combat. Corresponding to that, the creatures that appear from the Rift are bold and fierce, just like the Black Teeth of Gendal region around.   Arrival profiles for the Cauldron Rift
